Morris Media Studios is a professional podcast and voiceover studio located in Leimert Park.
Founded by Felicia “The Poetess” Morris, a 25-year radio veteran and new media enthusiast, in 2014, Morris Media Studios began with an idea to create an internet radio network. After finding space in South LA’s historic Leimert Park District, however, that idea evolved into something bigger – creating a space for creators with limited resources to host and produce their own content. For the past seven years, Morris Media Studios has provided a platform for the South LA community to share its voice with the world. In their 1800 sq. ft. space, clients can record or live stream podcasts to Facebook and Youtube. They can also record voiceover projects and audiobooks for amazon.com and audible.com. The facility also includes a green screen room, private gated parking, a conference room, lobby and full kitchen.
To help the studios weather the pandemic, DC Thrive connected the business with LISC LA, which helped secure a small business relief grant last year.
